The details are not the details.
They make the design.

Not an object
on the wall.
A line within it.

A SLIM plate in brushed steel installed horizontally, with two keys and a round control

SLIM is defined by proportion. A reduced profile and an elongated geometry that works vertically or horizontally, so the plate joins the composition of the room instead of interrupting it.

A precise
architectural presence,
reduced to its
essential depth.

Four millimetres of solid metal: enough to be felt under the hand, too little to be noticed across the room.

every need.

Three distinct control options — rectangular push buttons, round push buttons and toggle levers — designed to share the same plate and a consistent four-millimetre profile. Each configuration is available in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

A control
that becomes part
of the architecture.

Designed for every
professional ecosystem.

SLIM is a surface and the electronics behind it. It speaks to the control systems specified on American projects, and fits the boxes already in the wall.

What customization options are available?

PLH Slim can be customized to meet the aesthetic and functional needs of any project. Plates and controls are available in a wide range of materials, finishes, and surface treatments, with the possibility of combining matching or contrasting elements.

Laser engraving and UV printing can be used to add symbols, text, or decorative details. Upon request, PLH can also develop bespoke configurations and finishes.

For specific requirements or custom projects, contact us at info@plhitalia.com: our team will be happy to evaluate the solution best suited to your project.

On which installation boxes can Slim be mounted?

PLH Slim is designed for installation using dedicated metal adapters compatible with standard electrical boxes. The system allows the plates to sit close to the wall surface and is suitable for masonry, drywall, and stone installations.

Its distinctive 2 mm recessed back detail creates a subtle floating effect while helping conceal minor wall imperfections around the installation box.

Slim plates can be installed both vertically and horizontally, offering greater flexibility within the architectural project.

Register below to download the installation instructions and view the system’s technical specifications.

How many functions does Slim offer?

PLH Slim is available in two standard plate sizes, each offering different control configurations.

The 124 × 40 mm version accommodates up to four round push buttons, four rectangular push buttons, four low-voltage toggle levers, or one slider.

The 154 × 40 mm version accommodates up to six round push buttons, six rectangular push buttons, six low-voltage toggle levers, or one slider.

Rectangular push buttons and toggle levers are available with dual-function operation, allowing different commands to be managed through a single control.

Both plate sizes feature the collection’s distinctive 4 mm profile and can be installed vertically or horizontally.

Can Slim be backlit?

PLH Slim can be equipped with integrated LED indicators upon request.

Depending on the configuration, LEDs can be used to indicate power presence or provide visual feedback on the status of a control.

The available LED options and their integration depend on the selected configuration and technical requirements.

For specific lighting or control applications, contact our technical team.

Which control systems is Slim compatible with?

PLH Slim is built around proprietary electronic circuit boards and offers different control configurations for integration into electrical and automation systems.

Compatibility depends on the selected controls, operating voltage, and the requirements of the connected system.

For integration with platforms such as Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Loxone, Savant, or Vantage, our technical team can evaluate the appropriate interface and configuration for your project.

Contact us at info@plhitalia.com for further technical information.

Is Slim available in a wireless version?

Slim is primarily designed as a wired control system.

For projects requiring wireless integration, please contact our technical team to evaluate the available solutions and their compatibility with the selected configuration.

Is Slim UL listed?

Certification and compliance requirements depend on the specific Slim configuration, electrical components, and intended market.

For projects requiring UL certification or other specific compliance documentation, please contact our technical team at info@plhitalia.com to verify the applicable requirements and available documentation.

What materials are Slim plates made from?

PLH Slim plates are manufactured from premium solid materials, including brass, 6082 aluminium, and 316L stainless steel, selected for their durability, precision, and refined appearance.

Each plate is CNC machined from a 10 mm solid metal sheet to achieve its distinctive 4 mm profile, including the 2 mm recessed back detail.

A wide range of finishes and surface treatments is available, including satin finishing, polishing, micro-sandblasting, anodizing, chrome plating, bronzing, and PVD treatments, depending on the selected material.

Plates and controls can be produced in matching or contrasting materials and finishes, allowing Slim to adapt to different architectural and interior design requirements.

Every plate is manufactured in Italy, combining precision engineering with craftsmanship and attention to detail.

How can I purchase PLH lighting controls?

To ensure proper system configuration, PLH lighting controls are supplied through the system integrator involved in the project. If the integrator has not yet worked with PLH, they must register an account via the “Contact Us” page. Once approved, they can access the partner portal to request quotes and generate technical project documentation.

PLH also works directly with architects, interior designers, and lighting designers to define every detail of the faceplates and control units, ensuring seamless integration with the design concept.

For private individuals interested in using PLH control systems, we recommend asking your installer, integrator, or design team to contact us directly so you can receive the technical support needed to develop your project.

Where are PLH products designed and manufactured?

All PLH products are designed, engineered, and manufactured entirely in Italy, at our facility in Milan — a city internationally recognized as one of the leading centers of design.

Each collection is the result of a combination of research, innovation, and manufacturing expertise, and is crafted with great attention to detail, using high-quality materials and production processes that reflect the excellence of Made in Italy.

Why is it called PLH?

The name PLH comes from a simple play on letters. When pronounced in Italian as a single word, the initials “P-L-H” evoke the term placca, the element that defines and enhances our lighting control systems.
